Where did the need for a HR system come from?

We have been using Calamari for two years in another company, while at Saving Cloud we use it for six months. Here's the deal - we were a young company and until we, founders, were working alone there was no need to process vacation requests. As soon as the first full-time employee appeared, it was necessary to find a convenient way to count his working time and the amount of leave he was entitled to.

Hubert and Kamil (two of the Calamari's founders) created a special tool for this and we decided to use it. We were aware that there are various corporate combos on the market, but this was not an option at all. We were looking for something simpler.

How is the collaboration going?

Calamari is a software focused on single functionalities and has a good price/quality ratio. We trust this software as much as possible.

During our cooperation, we had practically no problems. The only challenge was the issue of defining vacations and calendars for different employees, on which we called the Calamari team, who set everything up as needed right away. Whenever we have a question, the response is prompt.

Additionally:

Calamari turned out to be a real time-saver, especially for the management. There is a big difference between paper and electronic form of request! With regards to regular employees – they received some kind of guarantee – that system like this exists and nobody will be treated unfairly.

Now we are able to check any time we want, when particular employee is present or when he takes a leave. It makes our project planning much easier.

Moreover, the thing that was definitely helpful from the beginning was the integration with Google Workspace, from which we switched to Office 365 later on. Overall, the present possible integrations are certainly enough for us.

During the period of our cooperation, I believe that Calamari has progressed mainly in terms of the number of integrations and the way in which days of leaves are calculated according to the position.

Generally, as we go on, Calamari goes with us, still being able to meet our needs!
